Design tips
With more than 30 years of experience under our belt, we know the tips & tricks for the perfect badge better than anyone else.
So we would like to give you some tips to get started quickly and easily.
Think outside the box
- All shapes are possible. Feel free to think outside the traditional shapes!
- Find out what special options we offer for your type of badge. A super deluxe look and a badge that catches the eye: let's badge it!
- An eye-catching and clear badge, even from a distance? Use sufficient contrast. Thick lines stand out better than fine lines.
Less is more
- Remove any unnecessary detail elements, shorten your text as much as possible or drop it if you can. PRINT LETTERS are certainly conducive to legibility. The minimum height for lettering is 4 to 5 mm for embroidered and PVC badges. For woven and sublimated badges, the minimum letter height is 2 mm.
- Scissors and paper are the best tools to check whether your design can be smaller or needs to be larger.
Embroidered with or without sublimation
- Glow in the dark cannot be embroidered or woven beautifully. We therefore recommend dividing the part in which you want gradient colours into coloured strips. The best effect, however, is achieved by working with solid surfaces.
- With embroidered badges with sublimation, the sky is the limit and we can transfer your entire design exactly onto a badge. Even a photo!

- Feel free to ask the opinion of a critical test audience. Or send your design to us to be absolutely sure your badge is on point.
- Order a hyper realistic digital proof - a photo scan - where your design is finished effectively as an embroidered, woven or PVC badge. You can do this by checking the ‘order a photo scan’ box when placing your order.
